Fall in Playa Las Tortugas

My wife and I went to our villa (La Villa Reyes) in Playa Las Tortugas this October to celebrate our anniversary. Without the kids!

Now I see why the other owners say fall is the best time to be in Playa Las Tortugas. The heat has come off a bit but the water is still so warm and everything is bright green or flowering…or both.

Highlights

  • Everything is lush and green

  • Water was sooo warm

  • Saw baby turtles hatching, digging out of their nest, and crawling to the sea

  • Saw a mother turtle digging her nest at night

  • Good surf sessions almost every day

  • Boat trip out to the reefs

  • Long walks on the beach

  • Bonfire on the beach

  • Maria’s ceviche (and chile relleno of course)

We will be back next fall. In fact, my wife is going to sneak down for one more trip this fall!
